Our "maths packs" each contain a maths concept for you to explore.
 
This pack looks at number bonds, which are taught at school to help children solve simple addition and subtraction sums more confidently.
 
Included in the A5 pack:
Number Friends and the Number Bond Sports Day book
two small yellow bowls
a small bag with ten ice creams to share between the bowls
 
After reading the story, you can have fun sharing out the ice creams between the two bowls to see how many different 'number bonds' you can find.
You could even write these out using dots or numbers!
